My parents immigrated to a small island in the Pacific Ocean called Saipan, CNMI. It is one of the many islands in Oceania. I was born and raised on this island, an English speaking U.S. territory. After graduating from high school, I came to Michigan to attend Michigan State University! (GO GREEN!) I pursued a B.A. in Elementary Education (minor in social studies and TESOL) and also pursued an M.A. in Teaching and Curriculum.
I was a student teacher for a year in a kindergarten classroom. I also taught in Australia for a month as part of my study abroad program at MSU! I am hoping to revisit Australia!
